Again this was one of those times where a friend wanted to experience something different with her husband than going to a restaurant. So I agreed to arrange dinner for the two of them at my cosy corner. I was glad the weather held up and it was a beautiful night for them.
Upon arrival my guests were ushered to the backyard so they were surprised that we planning a beautiful setting for just the two of them. A bottle of red wine ready for their tasting.

Special drink again for a friend who wanted something other than red wine to start : I call it Agak Agak moonshine frizzy drink – fresh blue pea flowers, lemon grass, Indian borage leaves, dash of lime juice, sugar and soda water

Hors dóeuvres : mushroom pate with freshly baked country loaf; lobster on toast with spicy mayo
First course
Appetizers :
Bbq shucked oysters drizzled with freshly made thai coriander sauce
Ju Hu Char served with iceberg lettuce and a side sambal belacan
Mains :
Charcoal bbq ribeye steak (drizzled with it’s own juice)
Grilled pumpkin served with butter infused with honey and cinnamon

Palate cleanser : Limoncello served icy cold with prosecco in a shot glass
Grilled zucchini served with roasted Italian tomato sauce

Dessert:
Plain vanilla ice cream and fresh strawberries with a dash of 25 year old italian balsamic vinegar

Moon shining bright as the happy couple took a group photo with agak agak chef and my two elves for the night. Another successful night and the couple vowed they would come again the next time to try a different menu.

A special thanks to my elves : Hubby and Katherine Kay who helped without complaining, drinking on the job and always with a smile.
